Montana Log Homes has specialized in unique, custom handcrafted log homes since 1975. Owners James Bachofner and Brad Neu have built the company’s outstanding reputation using the Scandinavian Cope, full scribe, style of construction. We harvest dead and dying logs from the prime timber ranges of Montana then hand peel, scribe and notch each natural log into your one-of-a-kind log home.
Montana Log Homes’ in-house design and drafting service will create a home that reflects the personality, lifestyle, ideas and dreams of the homeowner. Clients are offered full length, dry seasoned, Lodgepole Pine, or Spruce logs in sizes ranging from 12” base diameter on up to 24” base diameter or larger if desired.
Your log home will be constructed entirely in Montana Log Homes’ assembly yard in Kalispell, Montana. The logs are then numbered, disassembled and transported to your home site where they are assembled by our experienced logsmiths. The team will also cut and key the door and window openings and provide on-site technical assistance to the homeowner or contractor.
