Satterwhite Log Homes harvests standing-dead timber and manufactures it into dry, stable house logs in a variety of sizes and profiles. Satterwhite logs have a 17% or lower moisture content for stability and a simplified construction system. Satterwhite is celebrating 50 years of providing custom, quality log home construction
Satterwhite also manufactures and warehouses tongue-and-groove decking, log siding, timbers to 40 feet in length and an array of tongue-and-groove lumber paneling for interior walls and ceilings.
Because Satterwhite Log Homes is an independent family-owned business involved in every phase of the log industry–from harvesting to manufacturing and custom building–there are no middlemen or franchise fees to drive up costs.
Satterwhite offers custom construction services in many parts of the United States, but offers material sales throughout North America, the Far East and Europe.
Sales, construction services, milling, and warehousing are located at Satterwhite’s headquarters in Longview, Texas. Currently at the Longview location, Satterwhite’s two new show homes are under construction. The company’s Western Division is located in Gunnison, Utah. This location is home of Satterwhite’s primary milling facility as well as sales office. Satterwhite’s Eastern Division is located in Ellijay, Georgia, where the Mountain Laurel serves both as show home and sales office. This location offers both sales and construction.
The Ellijay facility also warehouses house logs, finish materials, and coatings for customer pick up and delivery. We also have a sawmill facility in Chama, New Mexico. Office hours at our various locations are Mon-Fri 8-5, Saturday 7-12 and closed on Sundays.
Custom design services are available at all three of our locations. While our full-color catalog and website offer 80 stock floor plans, customers are encouraged to design their own custom home. Our design department is ready to design your custom home.
We offer our customers three options which to purchase—shell construction, material packages, or house logs only. Shell construction is offered in nine southern states. Our material package is one of the most comprehensive in the industry and we ship nationwide. House logs are in stock—ready to ship.
Our Longview, Texas headquarters hosts a two-day Seminar & Workshop twice each year.
